Shadow Island Design was created to give life to design ideas that didn’t have a name. Repurposing textiles has become a passion of mine as I have been collecting vintage for over 10 years now and falling in love with old things over and over again. It’s been a natural evolution for me to start paying attention to textiles since I’ve learned patternmaking and sewing.  All materials have been locally sourced, primarily quilt toppers, a few quilts, but also feed sack, cotton sheeting, and tablecloths.
